NASHVILLE, Tenn. -
A pedestrian was hit by a car and killed on Old Hickory Boulevard in Bellevue late Wednesday night.
According to Metro police, the accident happened on Old Hickory Boulevard near the entrance to the Bellevue Heights apartment complex around 9:45 p.m.
Police said Chelsea Bowie, 19, was driving her Kia Optima northbound on Old Hickory Boulevard when she struck Timothy D. Johnson.
Johnson, 54, was not in a crosswalk and transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he died.
Bowie told investigators she did not see Johnson in the roadway.
No charges have been placed.
The investigation is continuing.
