
Springfield police are investigating a shooting late Wednesday night inside a local convenience store that left one man wounded.
Officers responded to a shots fired call inside the Stop One Market located on South Main Street at 21st Avenue.
Police said two black males got into a fight just inside the door and shots were fired.
Brandon Gardner, 25, was shot in the chest and taken to Northcrest Medical Center.
He was later airlifted to Vanderbilt University Medical in Nashville where he was listed in stable condition Thursday morning.
Police said no arrest had been made and the investigation is ongoing.
