Predators look to trade Alexander Radulov

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

The Nashville Predators are looking to trade forward Alexander Radulov before the start of the 2012-2013 season.

According to a report in The Tennessean, David Polie the Nashville Predators General Manager announced on Tuesday he is looking to trade Radulov's rights to another NHL team or allow him to return to the Kontinental Hockey League.

"The best way to characterize it is it's time to not pursue Rad anymore. If he wants to play in the KHL that's fine, if he wants to play with another NHL team I'd be willing to trade his rights," Polie told the newspaper.

Radulov was drafted by the Nashville Predators in 2004. The 25-year-old played two seasons with the Preds before leaving in 2008 to play for the KHL.

Radulov returned to Nashville in March and played in nine regular season games.

He, along with Andrei Kostitsyn, was suspended during the playoffs after the pair missed curfew while in Phoenix.
