
Police are searching for two gunmen who opened fire on a Murfreesboro family in an SUV late Thursday night.
The 37-year-old victim told police his girlfriend and her four-year-old son were on their way to their Wenlon Drive home around 11 p.m. when a black vehicle began following them.
When they arrived home the vehicle blocked them in.
According to the Murfreesboro police incident report, two white males got out and approached them. Both suspects displayed handguns and demanded money.
As the victim sped off, the suspects fired approximately 15 rounds at the vehicle before fleeing.
Damage to the vehicle included bullet holes in the rear passenger window, front driver's side fender and front driver's side tire.
No one inside the vehicle was injured.
The investigation is ongoing.
Anyone with information on the suspects or their whereabouts should call Murfreesboro police.
They face charges of aggravated assault, attempted aggravated assault and vandalism.
