Motorcycle crash claims life of 30-year-old rider

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -

Police in Clarksville are trying to determine what caused a fatal motorcycle crash early Saturday morning.

According to police, 30-year-old Franklin Wadsworth was found barely breathing lying in the middle of Autumnwood Boulevard around 3 a.m.

He was transported to Gateway Medical Center where he was pronounced dead an hour later.

There were no witnesses to the crash and the cause is still being determined.

Police believe the motorcyclist left the roadway on Hazelwood Road, drove through a yard and was ejected from the bike.

The investigation is ongoing.
