CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -
Clarksville police are continuing to investigate after a dozen parking meters on Main Street were broken into in an effort to remove change.
According to a report in the Leaf Chronicle, five of the vandalized meters are in front of 126 Main Street, two were near First Street, while the others were in front of the Regional Planning Commission building.
The paper reported each meter had around $10 in each coin box.
Damage to the 12 meters is estimated to be around $1,200.
