WATERTOWN, Tenn. -
The driver of an ATV was killed after he was run over by a pickup truck in Wilson County Wednesday evening.
The accident happened on Round Top Road near Watertown, about 40 miles east of Nashville, around 6:15 p.m.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol said Nicholas Ricchiazzi was traveling south on Round Top Road when he came up behind the ATV and completely ran it over with his Dodge Ram pickup truck.
The driver of the ATV, Edward Good, 45, died on the scene. He was not wearing a helmet.
Ricchiazzi, 33, was injured and taken by helicopter to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Both men were believed to be drinking at the time of the crash.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol said charges against Ricchiazzi are pending.
Earlier on Wednesday, two subcontractors were injured in an ATV accident in Robertson County.
A 29-year-old male was transported by LifeFlight helicopter to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, while a 79-year-old man suffered non life-threatening injuries and transported by ambulance to a local hospital.
The men were working on a pipeline when the accident occurred on rocky terrain nearby.
