George Jones hospitalized, Shows canceled through June

Country music legend George Jones has canceled all upcoming shows through June after he was admitted into a Nashville area hospital.

A statement from Jones' publicist, Kirt Webster, says Jones will undergo testing and evaluation for a lingering upper respiratory infection.

The 80-year-old was first hospitalized in March.

Concerts scheduled through June have been cancelled.  Webster said the shows will be rescheduled where possible.

No other details were released.

A member of the Country Music Hall of Fame, Jones is known for dozens of classic hits including "He Stopped Loving Her Today" and "White Lightning."
