Columbia police search for liquor store robbery suspect

COLUMBIA, Tenn. -

Police are searching for a suspect who robbed a liquor store in Maury County at gunpoint Sunday night.

The suspect entered the Tobacco and Beer shop located in the 1300 block of Hampshire Pike in Columbia just after 6 p.m.

According to a police report, the suspect took cash and fled the store in a brown 1996 Chevrolet Pickup truck belonging to Lemainque Johnson.

Johnson was taken into custody and charged as an accomplice to the robbery.

Police are searching for the gunman involved.  He is described as a tall black male with a light complexion.

At the time, he was wearing a shirt pulled over his face, a ball cap and blue jeans.
