NASHVILLE, Tenn. -
A longtime Nashville pawn shop owner has decided to retire and close his more than 70-year-old family business.
Howard Isaacs is the owner of Berry's Jewelry & Loan Co. located at 217 4th Avenue North.
On Saturday the businessman will hold an auction that will feature diamonds, vintage cash registers and the store's 50-year-old neon sign.
The sign is said to be one of the few neon signs remaining in Nashville and is one of the oldest signs in continuous operation.
Berry's Jewelry and Loan Co. was also featured in country superstar and American Idol winner Carrie Underwood's music video "Before He Cheats."
The auction begins at 9:30 a.m.
