NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

The Nashville Zoo is scheduled to host its 14th annual Easter event on Saturday.

Organizers of Eggstravaganzoo said more than 40,000 plastic eggs will be distributed on the Zoo's Festival Field for 10 scheduled hunts throughout the day.

The event kicks off at 9 a.m. and continues until 4 p.m.

In addition to the egg hunts, zoo visitors can participate in other Easter-themed activities including games, bounce houses and face painting.

New to this year's Eggstravaganzoo is the Bunny Café, which offers breakfast and lunch with the Easter Bunny in attendance. Reservations are required and can be made on the zoo's Web site.

Eggstravaganzoo is included with zoo admission or memberships; however additional fees apply for Bunny Café and face painting stations.

Admission to the zoo is $15 for adults, $13 for senior citizens and $10 for children ages two to 12.

Children two and under are admitted free.
