What are Nashville's top lotto ticket winning stores?
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -
With a jackpot of more than a half a billion dollars, lottery ticket sales are skyrocketing across the country.
On Thursday, Nashville's News 2 went searching for the top-winning Nashville-area stores where the most players have won $1 million or more.
Among the top winning retailers include Liquor & Wine located on Murfreesboro Road, Tiger Market off of Rosa Parks in Metro Center, Bill Martin's Food on Fatherland Street in east Nashville and Daily's located on Old Hickory Boulevard in Brentwood.
When it comes to top winning cities throughout the Volunteer State, the city of South Pittsburg located in southeast Tennessee ranked at the top with a winning ticket worth $25 million.
Chattanooga and Benton, Tennessee followed with multi-million dollar tickets.
Lottery officials said they recommend those who purchase tickets to sign the back of it in the event the ticket gets misplaced. By signing the ticket no one else can claim the prize money.
Officials say the odds of winning the Mega Million jackpot is about one in 175 million.
The last Mega Millions Jackpot winner was in January, with the winning ticket being sold in Georgia.
