NASHVILLE, Tenn. -
Metro police are searching for a suspect after a mother discovered an intruder hiding in her children's closet early Thursday morning.
The incident occurred just after 2 a.m. at a home at the 6000 block of Bradford Hills Drive off Nolensville Road in south Nashville.
Police told Nashville's News 2 the woman heard noises coming from the room where her two children were staying.
She said she discovered a man she did not know in the closet before the suspect fled the home.
Police immediately searched the neighborhood but were unable to locate the man.
The children were unharmed.
The suspect is described as a white male in his 30s with a short military-style haircut. He was wearing a red sleeveless t-shirt.
Anyone with information is urged to call Metro police or Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
