Teen killed in head-on crash in Giles County

ELKTON, Tenn. -

A teenager was killed over the weekend in a head-on collision Saturday in Giles County.

The wreck was reported around 11:20 a.m. on Highway 273 in Elkton.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol said 18-year-old Anthony Warren, of Prospect, was traveling east in the westbound lane and struck a pickup truck traveling westbound head-on.

Warren died at the scene.  The driver of the truck, Charles Coffman, 69, was injured.

The THP said both drivers were wearing their seatbelt.

According to WKSR Radio in Pulaski, Warren attended Lawrence County High School, was active in the school's drama program and a member of the school's spring play.
