COLUMBIA, Tenn. -
Two people are dead and a third injured in a triple shooting Wednesday morning at a gas station in Columbia.
The shooting occurred around 8:20 a.m. at the Gulf gas station located at 235 James Campbell Boulevard near Carmack Boulevard.
Columbia police said two gunshot victims, Jada Renee Baxter and Ronald Glass, were found at the gas station and another, Anthony Clinton Kelley, was found in a nearby parking lot.
Baxter, 37, was pronounced dead on the scene.
Glass, 62, was transported to nearby Maury Regional Medical Center where he died shortly after arriving.
Kelley, 21, was taken by ambulance to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville where he was listed in critical but stable Wednesday afternoon.
Police said their investigation thus far has revealed Baxter and Kelley were together at the gas station when Glass arrived in his pickup truck, opened fire and then turned the gun on himself.
A handgun was found in Glass' truck.
The first calls to police indicated that the shooter was running from the scene. That person was later determined to be Kelley.
Detectives declined to release a motive or say how the victims knew one another.
Family and friends at the scene, however, said Baxter and Glass were in a previous relationship and she and Kelley were romantically involved at the time of Wednesday's shooting.
The gas station was closed for about two hours while police investigated.
The scene has since been cleared and the gas station reopened.
The investigation is ongoing.
