Man hit by bullet on interstate

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

A driver was grazed by a bullet during a shooting early Wednesday morning on Interstate 24 in east Nashville.

The driver, DeAndre Person, 22, and his three passengers, Terae Person, 20, Davon Dixon, 19, and Jeffery Middleton, 32, reported they had left Klub Cirok on Murfreesboro Pike and were traveling on I-24 when shots were fired at them from a white four-door sedan.

DeAndre Person was struck in the shoulder.

He exited the Interstate just before 3 a.m. and drove to Love's Travel Stop at 130 Trinity Lane.

Person was treated for a minor injury and was released from the hospital.

No one else was hurt. 

The motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
