Motorcyclist airlifted to hospital following crash

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -

A 21-year-old motorcyclist was airlifted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville after being involved in a collision on Tuesday night.

According to police, the victim was traveling south in the center lane on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard when the driver of a Pontiac SUV was attempting to turn into a private driveway at the intersection of Wilma Rudolph Boulevard and Dunlop Lane.

The unidentified motorcyclist was unseated and collided with the roadway.

He was last listed in stable condition.

The driver of the SUV was uninjured.

No additional information was released.
