Jon Greer, 27, faces charges of statutory rape and sexual battery.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -
A former guard at New Visions Youth Development Center in Nashville surrendered to police Monday night following a grand jury indictment charging him with having sexual relations with a 17-year-old female resident.
Sex crimes detectives allege Jon Greer, 27, developed a relationship with the teen over a period of several months, beginning in November 2010 until she was discharge from the facility last May.
The alleged sexual contact is believed to have occurred at the center, according to police.
The investigation began last November after other New Visions' residents reported they suspected there was a sexual relationship between Greer and the victim.
Greer faces two counts of statutory rape by an authority figure and two counts of sexual battery by an authority figure.
