MURFREESBORO, Tenn. -
Authorities in Murfreesboro arrested five juveniles and one adult in connection to a shooting Monday evening at Cason Lane Academy.
The shooting occurred shortly after 5 p.m. near the basketball courts at the school located on Cason Lane off Old Fort Parkway.
A 14-year-old was shot in the leg and transported to Middle Tennessee Medical Center in Murfreesboro for treatment.
An updated condition wasn't immediately released.
Witnesses told police the teen was shot during a verbal argument with the suspects, who fled the scene in a turquoise green Chevy Cavalier.
The suspects were located overnight and arrested.
Police said Tuesday there were two alleged shooters, both juveniles, and each is charged with aggravated assault and possession of a weapon on school property.
The four others arrested, three juveniles and 19-year-old Travis Stanley, were charged with conspiracy.
Stanley's bond was set at $9,000.
