NASHVILLE, Tenn. -
Country artist Miranda Lambert and R&B artist Chris Brown are continuing their public feud through a popular social media site.
The recent battle between the two musicians began last week after Brown took to the stage for two performances during the 54th annual Grammy Awards show in California.
A day following the awards show, Lambert posted on her personal Twitter page, "And Chris Brown Twice? I don't get it. He beat on a girl…Not cool that we act like that didn't happen."
In 2009, the now 22-year-old Brown pled guilty for assaulting his ex-girlfriend R&B singer Rihanna.
He is currently serving five years of probation.
Following Lambert's post, Brown responded by saying, "Hate all you want because I got a Grammy now! That's the ultimate f@$% off."
The tweet has since been removed, however, mid-week Lambert responded by tweeting, "I'm done for now. But not for good. :) Nite love bugs & remember… Be who you are and stand for what u believe in. NO MATTER WHAT!"
She added a short time later, "Oh and one more thing for all who are asking….I have a Grammy too. :)"
During Lambert's concert last Thursday night in Massachusetts, the 28-year-old held up a neon handwritten sign that read, "Take notes Chris Brown" before telling the audience "Listen, I just need to speak my mind. Where I come from, beating up on a woman is never ok."
After applause by the audience she continued by saying, "So that's why my daddy taught me early on in life how to use a shotgun," before singing her hit song "Gunpowder and Lead."
On Sunday, Brown took to his Twitter page in response to Lambert's actions in three separate tweets saying, "Using my name to get publicity? I love it! Perform your heart out!"
"Go buy @miranda_lambert! So motivational and "PERFECT."
"Goodnight to all the people who live life and who aren't stuck in the past!"
Lambert has not responded to the recent tweets.
