Authorities arrested a Nashville mother Friday after she was found in the possession of hundreds of syringes and a variety of drugs with her three-year-old son present.

A tip led Metro detectives to a room at the Ramada Inn on Atrium Way off Briley Parkway in the Donelson area.

When officers entered the room, they discovered Sarah Cervantes and her toddler in room, which was reportedly filthy and contained very little food.

In another room, they discovered what appeared to be the drug MDMA, otherwise known as "Molly", in capsule and powder form, along with digital scales and more than 100 syringes, both new and used.

In total authorities found more than 80 grams of MDMA and more than 50 Oxycodone pills.

According to a police report, the woman's child was well within reach of the drugs and drug-related items.

Cervantes was charged with felony child endangerment and three misdemeanor drug counts.

She was booked into the Metro jail on a $65,000 bond.
