NASHVILLE, Tenn. -
An officer was responding to an accident early Sunday morning when a suspected drunk driver clipped his patrol car.
The accident was reported around 3 a.m.
Police said the officer was on his way to the intersection of West End and 17th avenues with his emergency lights and sirens on when a Cadillac hit his vehicle.
The officer was not injured.
The passenger in the Cadillac sustained minor injuries but did not have to be transported to the hospital.
Police suspected the driver of the Cadillac was under the influence.
