The vehicle had to be towed from the ditch. The driver was not seriously injured.
A few hours later in Bellevue, around 9 a.m., police diverted traffic off Interstate 40 at Old Hickory Boulevard after a car hydroplaned.
The vehicle sustained significant damage.

The driver of the car was also not seriously wounded.
Around 11 a.m., as snow fell on Interstate 440 at West End Avenue in Nashville, a car lost control and took out a light pole in the median.
The driver was not injured.
Sunday afternoon, the Tennessee Highway Patrol warned drivers of icing conditions along I-40 on the Cumberland Plateau.
Several wrecks were reported and traveling on I-40 toward Crossville was discouraged.
At 1 p.m. a crash at mile marker 292 in Cookeville had all eastbound lanes of I-40 blocked.
The Tennessee Department of Transportation estimated it would be 2:30 p.m. before the scene was cleared and road reopened.
Drivers are urged to avoid the area or use extreme caution.
In Nashville, wet roads could turn treacherous after dark as temperatures fall into the upper 20s.
