Firefighters responded to the scene to find light smoke on the third floor and the sprinkler system activated, causing water to accumulate in the hallways and stairwells of floors one, two and three.
After about 30 minutes, the sprinkler system was shut off, stopping the water flow.
Fans were brought in to air out the building.
No one was injured. No evacuations were necessary.
