Posted: Updated: Feb 19, 2012 09:55 AM CST
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

Wet snowflakes are falling across much of Middle Tennessee this morning, after rain feel last night into early Sunday morning. A dusting of wet snow is possible on grassy surfaces, although the heaviest accumulations will be contained to the higher elevations east of I-65 toward the Cumberland Plateau. The best chance of significant snowfall will be in northeast Middle Tennessee for areas like Cookeville, Crossville, and Jamestown, where there could be two or more inches of accumulation.

Sunday evening and night, slick roads are predicted in the areas northeast of Nashville that see snow as temperatures fall to the upper 20s.
