CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -

Clarksville police have found the body of a 25-year-old man missing since late last month.

According to authorities, Brandon Davone Rushing had not been seen or heard from since January 24.

After weeks of investigation, Clarksville police found Rushing's body inside his Chevy Suburban, both burned in a field off of Ashland City Highway.

Police found the body after arresting Verchaunt Williams.  Williams, 28, is accused of shooting and killing Rushing the day before he was reported missing.

Police said cell phone records showed calls were exchanged between Williams and Rushing on January 23.  The alleged shooting after Williams asked Rushing to come to his apartment.

Williams allegedly shot Rushing and then set his SUV on fire.

Ojawaine Joemese Marbury and Jeffery Mac Jackson also admitted to helping Williams dispose of Rushing's body and vehicle.

According to authorities, Williams, Marbury, Jackson and Rushing had all known each other for several years.

Williams is charged with criminal homicide and is being held at the Montgomery County jail without bond.

Jackson and Marbury are both charged with accessory after the fact and were booked on a $1 million bond.

The motivation behind the alleged homicide is under investigation.
