NASHVILLE, Tenn. -
Police were investigating Friday morning after an attempted robbery in east Nashville.
A homeowner at 1219 Chester Avenue told police a man attempted to break into his home around 11 p.m. The homeowner then fired shots at the suspect.
However, police said a preliminary investigation of the scene showed conflicting evidence that the suspect was shot.
No one has been identified as a gunshot victim in area hospitals matching the suspect's description.
Police have not taken any suspects into custody.
An investigation is ongoing.
