NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

A Davidson County jury on Thursday found a man guilty in the murder-for-hire that claimed the life of a 39-year-old Hermitage mother in 2010.

Authorities said Veronica Bozza was chased through her home and shot on August 29, 2010 by Cory Cotham.

According to police, Cotham was a friend and business partner of Veronica's estranged husband, Timothy.

The two are said to have conspired with each other to kill Veronica.

Timothy testified during the trial he had lost a custody battle over their son and he had discussed having Cotham murder his wife for $10,000.

The jury is expected to decide Friday if Cotham will serve a life sentence or life without parole.

Timothy Bozza is also charged with first degree murder.

His trial date has not been set.
