
Metro police are investigating after a man was found dead in a tent Sunday night in south Nashville.
The man's body was found in a wooded area off Harding Place near Interstate 65.
A friend of the 57-year-old victim called police around 10:20 p.m. after discovering the man.
Medical examiners will perform an autopsy to determine if the death occurred due to cold weather or another reason.
Police said the tent, located near the Oak Hill area, is not a homeless encampment however is sometimes used as a drinking ground.
The victim's name wasn't immediately released.
