Police target fugitive in Cumberland View murder

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

Detectives are continuing to search for an 18-year-old man wanted on domestic-related warrants, as well as for questioning in the murder of a 20-year-old man last month.

Police told Nashville's News 2 LaQuintaze Buford may have knowledge on Michael Elliott's death.

Elliot was fatally wounded in the Cumberland View housing development on January 7.

Buford is named in warrants charging aggravated assault, aggravated burglary, child neglect and vandalism in connection with a domestic incident involving his former girlfriend on December 28, 2011.  

He fled the scene and has eluded capture since then.

Anyone with information on Buford's whereabouts is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
