NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

School officials from Franklin Road Academy said that head football coach David Pack has resigned following his arrest during a prostitution sting.

Police told Nashville's News 2 Pack was taken into custody Thursday night after he responded to an online posting.

The police affidavit reports that the 49-year-old was instructed to go to the Sleep Inn located at 3200 Dickerson Pike where officers were conducting a routine prostitution sting.

While in the motel room with an undercover agent, Pack is said to have agreed to have sex for $150.

Pack resigned from his position at the private school on Friday morning.

"The FRA administration was shocked and saddened to learn this morning of a situation involving Mr. David Pack. Effective immediately, Mr. Pack has resigned from Franklin Road Academy. Due to the legal nature of the situation, the school will have no further comment at this time," officials said in a release.

Pack previously served as a football coach at Christ Presbyterian Academy.

Other arrests were also made in the prostitution sting.
