NASHVILLE, Tenn. -
A tractor trailer attempting to pull into a north Nashville business parking
lot struck a fire hydrant causing water to shoot into the air and onto the
road.
The accident happened around 3:30 a.m. Friday right next to
the parking lot of Shred-it on Mainstream
Drive.
Police said after the tractor trailer struck the fire
hydrant, the driver attempted to back off of it, which caused the water to
start gushing.
The tractor trailer was blocking Mainstream Driver for about
an hour until a tow truck could remove it from the roadway.
An hour after the truck was removed, Metro Water Services was
able to shut the water off and clear up the scene.
No one was injured.
