LEBANON, Tenn. -
A Lebanon family escaped an apartment fire early Friday morning.
The fire started around 5:30 a.m. at the Greentree Pointe Apartments on Greentree Point Circle.
Lebanon firefighters told Nashville's News 2, when they arrived on the scene, heavy smoke and flames could be seen in the back of the home near the kitchen.
Crews quickly extinguished the fire.
Firefighters said two adult and a child made it out of the home unharmed before crews arrived on the scene.
The Red Cross was called to help the family find temporary housing.
Officials said the fire appeared to have started in the kitchen but will investigate to determine the exact cause.
