Residents at an apartment complex in Donelson jumped into action after a woman crashed her car into a pond late Sunday night.
The crash happened around 11:45 p.m. in an apartment complex on Country Wood Circle near Stewarts Ferry Pike.
Metro police told Nashville's News 2 the woman hit a tree and then crashed into the four-foot deep pond.
Residents heard the crash and one man jumped into the water to help.
Police said the woman was able to roll down her window and escape.
The woman told police she had just had an argument with her boyfriend and became so distracted, she crashed.
