NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

Runners and walkers raced for tickets to a Nashville Predators game at the Fangtastic 5K Saturday morning under rainy skies.

The race was capped this year at 2,200 registrants due to high demand.

The run/walk began at 10 a.m. Saturday morning at the Bridgestone Arena.

"The weather's not perfect, but it's pretty fun, there are a lot of volunteers and it's a great event. We try to come every year," said one runner Gordon Bojic.

"We come to see the Predators play, but we're runners too," said Cheryl and Melanie Belfoire.

Those that competed received a voucher for one of three home games in February.

The event benefited the Monroe Carrell Jr. Children's Hospital.
