HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. -
Authorities in Christian County, Kentucky arrested the wife of a Ft. Campbell soldier found fatally shot Friday night. Her alleged accomplice was arrested Sunday.
Jessie Goslyn, 25, is charged with murdering 28-year-old Vincent Goslyn Jr.
Goslyn's body was discovered around 8 p.m. Friday in the 400 block of Fidelio Road off Ft. Campbell Boulevard, about five miles north of the Kentucky-Tennessee state line.
He had been shot several times.
Jessie Goslyn's alleged accomplice, 24-year-old Jarred Long, was arrested Sunday in Colorado.
Authorities received two 911 calls Friday night. One of the calls came from Jessie Goslyn.
"The 911 call that [Jessie Goslyn made] had a little bit to do with describing the incident, that they were attacked and her husband was killed," said Capt. Chris Miller with the Christian County Sheriff's Department.
Investigators now believe Goslyn's statements to be untrue.
Miller would not comment on the extent of the relationship between Jessie Goslyn and Long but said the two were "acquainted."
Authorities said Vincent Goslyn had been deployed and returned home within the last few weeks.
Jessie Goslyn was transported from the scene of the crime to the Christian County jail where she is being held without bond.
Long will be extradited from Colorado to Christian County where he will also be charged with murder.
Sgt. Goslyn, of Michigan, was quartermaster and chemical equipment repairer, assigned to 4th Battalion, 101st Aviation Regiment, 159th Combat Aviation Brigade, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), the Army said in a release Monday.
He joined the Army in February 2005 and arrived at Ft. Campbell in June 2008.
Goslyn leaves behind two sons, Joshua and Joseph, and two daughters, Emma and Grace.
Both the Christian County Sheriff's Department and authorities at Ft. Campbell are continuing their investigation.
