
Wilson County Emergency Management officials are reporting that between 400 and 600 gallons of fuel was spilled near Old Hickory Lake on Wednesday night.
Officials told Nashville's News 2 a majority of the spill was contained to the shore located on the Mt. Juliet side of the lake; however some fuel did reach the water.
According to authorities, the spill was caused after a tree toppled over and cut into a gas line during overnight storms.
A hazardous cleanup company was called to the scene.
The incident was reported around 9 a.m.
