CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -

Clarksville police are continuing to search for a man who is believed to be a person of interest in firing shots at an Oak Grove police officer last week.

Police received information on Wednesday morning that Christopher Jerome Walker was inside a room at the Mid-Towner Motel located at 890 Kraft Street.

Responding officers surrounded the building and contacted Walker by phone in an effort to negotiate a voluntary surrender.

Authorities soon discovered after reviewing video footage that Walker was able to flee minutes before police were able to surround the hotel.

Walker also has four warrants on file in Clarksville for aggravated assault, aggravated burglary and two general session capias.

Police said Walker should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to contact the Tipsline at 931-645-8477.
