A Walgreens off of Ellington Parkway in east Nashville was robbed just before 10 p.m. on Wednesday.
A cashier told Metro Police that a white male wearing a black ski mask, a blue shirt, brown pants, white tennis shoes, and black gloves came into the store at 3500 Gallatin Road
The cashier said no weapon was present, but the suspect grabbed his waistband, as if to signal a gun, stuck his hand in his pocket, and did not remove it.
Authorities said the suspect approached the cashier and stated, "Nobody make any sudden movements, take out the drawer."
After the cashier opened the register, the suspect pulled out all of the $5 and $20 bills and then fled on foot.
Authorities stated the suspect was thought to be around six feet tall and in his mid 30s.
Detectives responded to 1109 Howard Avenue, where the suspect was spotted running behind the residence.
The investigation is ongoing.
