FRANKLIN, Tenn. -
More than 9,000 Franklin residents were without power on Tuesday night due to a widespread outage.
The power outage was first reported just after 6:30 p.m.
Officials with Middle Tennessee Electric told Nashville's News 2 the outage was likely caused after a tractor trailer hit a guide wire outside their substation at Eddy Lane and Fort Grainger.
Crews restored power to customers around 9:30 p.m.
