SMYRNA, Tenn. -

Smyrna police are continuing to search for the two men who targeted several elderly women for fraudulent home repairs.

According to police, the two men went to several homes in Smyrna and introduced themselves to residents as contractors, roofers and gutter installers.

The pair claimed they would make repairs to the victims' homes and requested full payment in advance to cover material costs.

Many of women told the alleged home repairmen to leave, however one woman wrote the men a check for repair work.

Police said the woman's bank became suspicious of the men and refused to cash the check.

According to officers one of the men has been identified as 27-year-old Johnny R. Lovell.

Anyone with information on Lovell's or his accomplice's whereabouts is urged to contact police at 615-459-6644.
