SHELBYVILLE, Tenn. -
The body of a Shelbyville man was found in his burning home early Sunday morning although investigators do not think foul play is involved.
According to a report in the Shelbyville Times Gazette, firefighters found Thomas Wilson's body near the den and kitchen area of the home on Richland Drive.
Wilson, 58, was not breathing when he was found around 4:30 a.m., fire officials told the paper.
The fire started in a bedroom although the exact cause is under investigation.
Authorities said there was no reason to suspect foul play.
Wilson's body has been sent to the state medical examiner's office in Nashville for an autopsy.
Officers said the home's electricity had been cut off several weeks ago and Wilson had been in and out of the hospital.
