
Two accidents caused travel headaches for drivers on Interstate 24 in Coffee County Tuesday morning.
The first wreck was reported around 5 a.m. in the westbound lanes of I-24 at mile marker 108.
In the traffic backup from the first collision, a second crash was reported around 8 a.m.
Initial reports indicate the second accident involved a serious injury and a medical helicopter was responding to the scene.
Authorities estimate both scenes would be cleared and the interstate will reopen by about 11 a.m.
