MT. JULIET, Tenn. -

A Brentwood man was arrested early Saturday morning after he attempted to move an ambulance that was blocking his vehicle.

According to police, Warren F. Melamed tried to move the emergency vehicle around 3:30 a.m. on Killian Way in Mt. Juliet while emergency personnel were trying to load a patient onto a stretcher.

Wilson County Emergency Management workers responding to the call heard the ambulance's engine start and were able to stop the 65-year-old man from moving the vehicle.

Melamed told arresting officers he was upset with WEMA personnel because he could not leave since the ambulance was blocking his vehicle.

Officials said Melamed's vehicle was temporarily blocked while crews responded to the scene of a medical emergency.

Melamed is charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle.
