NASHVILLE, Tenn. -
The mobile business trend has recently hit Nashville with food trucks.
Now, two local stylists are taking their business on the road with a fashion truck called The Trunk.
Kyah Hillis and Abbie Franklin realized it would be more efficient to take their business on the road when they started looking for retail space.
"She started doing some research and found there were one in New York, one in L.A. and one in Seattle," said Angela Wood, an employee at The Trunk.
The duo bought a tool truck and remodeled it from top to bottom, virtually creating a "trunk" inside.
Wood continued, "They came up with the name Trunk because it's actually like a trunk show and the cool thing is, they actually made the inside of the truck look like a trunk."
The boutique on wheels combines the men's line State and women's line Sleeveless. The Trunk features jewelry like cuffs and earrings for women and hats and leather good for men.
Previously a storefront in Edgehill Village, Sleeveless has been worn by high profile names like Darius Rucker and Kellie Pickler.
Hillis and Franklin hope to brand The Trunk and expand into other cities.
