Convicted felon, 24, wanted for fatal shooting

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

A 21-year-old woman who was shot in the chest early Friday morning at a Madison apartment has died.  

Metro police told Nashville's News 2, the shooting happened around 12:20 a.m. at the Charter Village Apartments, located at 333 Rio Vista Drive.

Police said that Tashelle Vaughn, 21, was inside her apartment with another woman and Antonio Flenoy when the shooting occurred.

The female told police she was in another room when she heard shots fired.

Flenoy, 24, is said to have immediately fled the scene.

Police have not released a motive for the shooting.

Vaughn was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where she later died.  

According to authorities, Flenoy was last known to have lived in the 1800 block of Lischey Avenue and was convicted of selling cocaine and unlawful gun possession in 2009.

Police said he was on probation at the time of Friday morning's shooting and is wanted for questioning in the shooting death, as well as on outstanding warrants in other matters charging him with domestic assault, probation violation and failure to appear in court.
