Driver crashes into east Nashville pond

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

A driver lost control and crashed into a pond in east Nashville late Thursday night.

The crash happened around 12 Midnight on Ordway Place near the Shelby Golf Course.

The driver told Metro police he has diabetes and lost control when his blood sugar dropped.

The car went into the edge of a creek that leads to a pond on the course.

The driver was not seriously injured.
