NASHVILLE, Tenn. -
Two proposed bills in the Tennessee legislature could affect how teachers are able to interact with students.
Senate bill 3122 could protect teachers from a lawsuit when they have to intervene in a fight between two students, while the other, bill 3116 would give teachers basic rights to control their classrooms and remove disruptive or violent students.
Both of the bills are sponsored by Senate Education Chairman Dolores Gresham from Somerville.
