Men arrested for stealing catalytic converters

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -

After an ongoing investigation, Clarksville police have arrested two men for stealing catalytic converters from various locations throughout the city.

Police said Anthony Duane Wilkins and Shaun Nicholas Kuykendall cut nearly two dozen catalytic converters off of vehicles that were parked in public access parking lots.

According to police, the men sold the converters, which were valued at more than $17,000 out of the boundaries of the city of Clarksville and Montgomery County.

Wilkins and Kuykendall were booked into the Montgomery County Jail and are each charged with 23 counts of burglary.

Wilkins remains in jail on $130,000 bond, while Kuykendall remains jailed on $131,000 bond.
