NASHVILLE, Tenn. -
An early morning fire Thursday forced two people from their home in Bordeaux.
The fire started in the back of the house on Alice Street near Trinity Lane shortly before 4 a.m. and caused extensive damage.
A smoke detector alerted the two people inside of the fire, and they escaped uninjured.
The victims told the fire department they plan to stay with relatives nearby.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
